How do I back up my data?
Use Placefolio’s export/backup feature to create a ZIP backup, then store it wherever you prefer (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, NAS, etc.). You can also link your Google account so Placefolio automatically uploads new backups to a Drive folder you choose. Placefolio does not operate a cloud service.
Is my data sent to the cloud?
No. Placefolio is offline-first. Your inventory stays on your device unless you decide to connect Google Drive for automatic backups. See the full details on our Privacy Policy.
How does Android ↔ Windows sync work?
Sync is optional and runs on your local network (LAN/Wi‑Fi). It’s intended for private, in-home use and can be encrypted in transit.
What if I lose my phone?
Restore from a backup you created. Because Placefolio doesn’t use cloud accounts by default, backups are your safety net; you can opt into Google Drive backups for added redundancy.
How do I print QR labels?
You can print your own labels, or (if available) purchase pre-printed packs. Placefolio works with standard QR label workflows.
What’s included in free vs paid?
The Android free tier includes core features with a limit of 25 boxes. Paid unlocks remove box limits. Support for optional automatic Google Drive backups is available across both tiers. See Pricing for details.
Can I use Placefolio for business inventory?
Yes, but Placefolio is designed primarily for personal and household storage.
How do I delete my data?
You can remove data from within the app, and uninstalling Placefolio deletes local app data from your device.
