Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-01-27

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Placefolio and related services (collectively, the "App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal and household inventory tracking in accordance with these Terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for unlawful activities.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or bypass security controls.
  • Interfere with the operation of the App or related infrastructure.

Offline-first design and your responsibility

Placefolio is designed to store data locally on your devices. You are responsible for maintaining backups and exports if you want the ability to restore your data after device loss, failure, or uninstall.

Optional Google Drive backup

You may link a Google account so Placefolio can automatically upload ZIP exports to a Drive folder you designate. Linking uses Google's OAuth consent flow; Placefolio stores the access token on your device only for those uploads and does not transmit it to our servers or use it for any other purpose. You remain responsible for the security of your Google account and for revoking access if you stop using the feature.

Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the App.

Payments

Purchases (if any) are processed through the applicable platform storefront (e.g., Google Play, Microsoft Store). Your payment relationship is with the storefront provider. Refunds and billing issues are handled under their policies.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App if required to comply with law or to protect the integrity of the App. You may stop using the App at any time.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is located, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page.
